What is a clarification bylaw?

It sets the limits of the built-up part of a town or village (§ 34 Abs. 4 Satz 1 Nr. 1 BauGB). Inside these limits, what you may build depends on the buildings around it.

What is a development bylaw?

It declares built-up land in the outlying area to be part of the built-up town or village, if the land use plan (Flächennutzungsplan) shows it as building land (§ 34 Abs. 4 Satz 1 Nr. 2 BauGB).

Which survey you need and when

    It is required by § 7 BauVorlVO M-V. If buildings or their spacing areas (Abstandsflächen) come closer than 0.5 m to the boundary, an official surveying body must make it, for example a publicly appointed surveying engineer (ÖbVI).

  4. Before building starts: setting out
